Nebraska Wedding Pt. 2

There is so much more to the story of our heroes, and the Nebraska wedding. Some of it will have to inevitably be left out, for if our girlfriends, wives, or fiances discovered the details of all our activities, they would be ours no longer. I am hiding the details on behalf of you, CA, CM, and RJ. JS and I only hold out so our mothers don't read about the naughty stuff that took place that week. So, on with the show.

The day before the wedding, someone had the bright idea that the wedding reception should be held in the biggest circus tent in all of Nebraska. Who's idea, I don't know, we will blame the groom. Those four who had made the ardous trip from other states had arrived at 1:30a.m. and 4:30a.m. respectfully. At 9a.m. they were up and headed to do those wedding things. Litlle did they know that those wedding things included the erection of this enormous, gargantuant, bohemuth of a tent. The tent was broken into 3 sections weighing 500 lbs a piece. The tent came with 36 poles, each pole had a corresponding 1 inch rebar four foot long stake which had to be driven three feet into the ground. The only way to do such a thing was to use a sledge hammer and take turns pounding them into the ground. As if this wasn't bad enough, that man that came brought the tent was a lunatic. He was crazy, swinging from ropes on the tent, climbing on top of the tent. He was insane. This adventure was no fun whatsoever. After four hours of constant deliberation, the tent was up. It was 50 yards long and 30 yards wide. That is a huge tent!!

Later that day we tried on our tuxedoes, which of course did not fit anyone, especially the fat people. We also spent some time at the gates of hell (aka Wal-Mart). Later that night was rehearsal dinner and the bachelor party. Much of what could and maybe should be said about those two events will remain censured for the sake of my salvation and CM's future wedding. But who knows, not too many days from now, you may look and find to your happiness a Nebraska Wedding Pt. 3. There is so much story left to tell. Until then...

Habemus Papam!!!

We have a pope! This is so cool. I know that most of the world has seen this before, but it is the first time for me. I think that the liturgy and history of all this stuff is really interesting. It was cool to watch the little german man walk out on stage. How much do you think that stowe cost that was around his neck? I bet it was a pretty penny. You know the catholics don't have a problem with prosperity. This guy is a stinking genius. He speaks ten languages, was dean of the college of the cardinals, is a world-class pianist, and a vanguard theologian. Finally a pope that speaks good english. Ain't it bout time them fellas over yonder learn to talk american? Whoa... the spirit of Arkansas just came all over me. Back Devil! Anyways, this is a real cool thing. The best thing about this pope is that he once gave an entire homily in Germany on how beer is like the gospels. He actually said that the word of God says that wine is a gift from God, so beer must be also. I love this guy!

Now for all of you who are regular readers, I have been getting questions on when I am going to tell Nebraska Wedding Pt. 2. I have decided that it will be coming tomorrow. So please tune in to get part two of Nebraska Wedding. Thats right, tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel. Oh yes, I almost forgot...

Its All About Me

So its monday again. I didn't write anything yesterday because i was just too busy. If you read my saturday post then you know I preached last night. It went well, I preached longer than I have ever preached before, but it went really well. I had a lot of good compliments. I preached on "Raising Up Royalty." If you would like a copy, of this powerful, annointed, message from God send your love gifts today. Send your best love gift of $5 dollars or more to Ryan Beaty Ministries, PO Box 709, Marianna, AR 72360. Wow, I could really do the TBN thing! I just felt the spirit of Creflo Dollar come all over me.

I am finally getting into the efficiency rythm I wish I had found during my undergraduate years of college. I am actually working on stuff ahead of time, not waiting until the last minute to do most things. I am reading a whole lot more, and a larger variety. I really think what it is, I am becoming a responsible ADULT! Holy Cow! Its all making sense now. I haven't overdrawn on my checking account in 4 months, it is totally balanced. I am reading more and watching t.v. less. I am working harder all the time, and getting stuff done early. This is all too weird. But, its also very cool.

Oh, and yes once again, BEATY for SAGU ALUMNI PRESIDENT!!!
